“A night to remember”

Walter Lord

Historical, non-fiction

Walter Lord`s, “A night to remember” is a historical, non-fiction piece told from people who were on the ship Titanic. The story is about the unsinkable ship that sailed from England to the United States but then something happened nobody was prepared for.
The character that appears most often is captain smith. The ship sank in the night because it struck an iceberg. Sadly only about 800 people survived from 1500 people. Reading the book allows you to understand what really happened on the ship on that dreadful night.

I really liked to read this book, because it’s a true story. It is really interesting to read the different perspectives of the various people on board. What I also liked about the book, the author managed to really capture us into the scene. Next to all that I thought it was really cool that they had a passenger list and extra facts. If you read this book your really think about it and its very emotional.

I recommend this novel to people who watched the movie and want to know more about what really happened. This book is for people who like suspense. If the book draws you in you can read it in a night. The book is for people who enjoy dramatic books. You have to be attentive throughout the whole novel because it is written sometimes in a complex language. I suggest reading this book when you have free time and the time to let yourself be drawn in.
