Ender’s Game

Orson Scott Card

Science Fiction

“Ender’s Game” is a Science fiction book written by Orson Scott Card. It is set in the future where the world was formerly at war with itself. An alien attack forced the belligerent human race to unite against a common enemy. The aliens who were know on Earth as “the Buggers” had besieged Earth twice before. Both times they were driven back to dwell on the rest of their colonized worlds. Now Earth is once again preparing for war. Ender who was only a child at the time was asked to join Battle School, where he faced many lies and much deceit executed to ensure his preparation for what he thought would  just be saving humanity. Meanwhile back on Earth Ender’s villainous brother Peter plots world domination. It has an astonishing ending which is very abrupt.

I found this book stunningly gripping and brimming with suspense and I unquestionably loved reading it. I began to suspect what the ending would be, but the amplitude of it kept me from being adept enough to pause and think about it too much.

I think it is a very well written book and well worth pondering over for an English assignment. But I would undoubtedly propose “Ender’s Game” to anyone who is looking for a good book to read. Especially if you are going to watch the movie which would be very arduous to compete with the the book, “Ender’s Game”.
